Q&A

Frequently Asked Question

My standard rate for a therapy session is $200 USD. However, I’m currently not offering the option to book individual, ad hoc sessions.

I work based on a package system. My aim is to ensure sustained engagement and effective progress over time. Instead of single sessions, I offer packages with discounted rates. You can choose from a package of four sessions at a 10% discount, eight sessions at a 15% discount, or twelve sessions with a 20% discount. This approach ensures that we can build on our progress session by session and truly invest in your therapeutic journey.

As a Certified Trauma Psychotherapist, I specialize in childhood and developmental trauma, with a dedicated focus on helping individuals navigate the often challenging journey of unresolved trauma. I am currently expanding my skills through advanced training in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) under the tutelage of the globally renowned NARM Institute.

Unresolved trauma can greatly impact our lives, often in subtle and less understood ways. It can give rise to self-sabotaging behaviors such as difficulty maintaining relationships, unpredictable mood swings, constant feelings of anger, an overwhelming sense of busyness, or different forms of anxiety. Moreover, it can lead to burnout, overspending, substance abuse, excessive gaming, and compulsive shopping – all of which are mechanisms used to cope with underlying distress.

If these issues resonate with you, or if you’re struggling with a form of distress that’s hard to pinpoint, it might be the right time to consider NARM Therapy.

This transformative therapeutic approach can help unravel the complexities of your experiences, provide clarity, and ultimately foster a sense of healing and wellbeing.

For a deeper understanding of how NARM might support your journey towards healing, I invite you to the section “How I work” on my website.

I don’t have a direct link with insurance companies. However, many of my clients have successfully had their sessions covered by their insurance providers. It might be beneficial for you to discuss this with your insurance company. If you let me know in advance, I can provide you with a receipt that you can then submit to your insurer for reimbursement.

The primary objective of a discovery call is to decide whether we’re the right fit for each other. In this call, you’ll gain insights into my working style, therapeutic methods, and how I plan to handle your unique situation.

We’ll delve into the challenges that are preventing you from reaching your desired goal for self development. I’ll ask questions about your current circumstances, understand why you’re seeking help, and provide feedback on potential strategies via Trauma Therapy. If any questions or uncertainties arise during our conversation, we’ll promptly address them together.

Once we both agree that we’re a good match, I will follow up with an email after our call. This email will contain links to my therapy packages, allowing you to explore the options and select the one that best suits your needs.

Lastly, I’ll give you my professional recommendation on the most beneficial course of action to pursue, ensuring that you receive the precise support you’re looking for.

Before deciding whether I am a good fit for you, it is advisable that you do some research on your own and read about different modalities that different therapists provide. I apply the NARM method and you can read more about the method in my “How I Work” section of my website.

Moreover, if you’re committed to investing the necessary time, money, and energy into your transformation, you’re more likely to see progress.

Therapists who are not specialized in a particular area typically provide general therapy that covers different areas, such as anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Trauma therapists, on the other hand, work with a specific modality that addresses the core problem the client is facing.

I am certified as well as specializing in NARM (Neuro Affective Relational Model), a mind/body therapeutic approach. I use this approach when working with individuals who have difficulties with physical and emotional self-regulation, overcoming emotional numbness, poor self-image and toxic shame.

Each person’s journey is unique, but there are common benefits that my clients experience when working with me. Among the most transformative ones are an increased sense of self-compassion and self-awareness. Alongside these, another crucial benefit is a deeper connection to their authentic self – a precious aspect of oneself that often gets disrupted when dealing with trauma.

Working together, we aim to restore this inner connection, helping you to live more authentically, more fully. It’s a rewarding journey, but don’t just take my word for it. Visit the testimonials section on my website to hear firsthand about the profound changes others have experienced in their lives.

Online or In-person 1:1 counseling sessions are 55 minutes.

Once you’ve booked an online session, you will receive a confirmation email. This email will contain all the relevant details, including the date and time of the session, the name of the host, and the Zoom link.

My goal is to ensure a smooth and efficient scheduling process for all my clients. To help you stay on top of your appointments, my system sends two reminders prior to your scheduled session. You will receive the first reminder 48 hours before the session, the second reminder 24 hours before the session, and an SMS message prior to the call.

If, for any reason, you need to cancel or reschedule your session, I kindly ask that you do so at least 24 hours in advance. The system is designed to allow easy cancellation or rescheduling via the confirmation email you receive upon booking. At the bottom of the email, you will find a button that will guide you through the process. As long as the cancellation or rescheduling is done within this 24-hour timeframe, the system will accept the changes.

However, please note that after this 24-hour window, the system will no longer allow cancellations or rescheduling to ensure I can manage my schedule effectively and accommodate other clients’ needs.

Instructions for preparing an Online Session:

  • To ensure a smooth start to your session, I recommend logging in at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. This will give you enough time to check and confirm that the meeting link and your internet connection is working properly.
  • Find a comfortable seating place
  • Make sure there are no noise in your surroundings. If you are using your phone for the session, then  place your phone on a holder so the movement of the phone do not create distraction in the session.
  • If possible, have tissue paper around you.
  • Make your environment comfortable and cozy for yourself.

Most of my clients find me through my social media platforms, and predominantly speak English. They come from a variety of locations, with the majority based in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, or UAE. The age range of my clientele is broad, typically between 27-65 years. Importantly, my practice is inclusive and welcoming to all – I work with individuals of all genders, colors, races, and sexual orientations. Regardless of who you are or where you’re from, my aim is to offer a safe space for healing and growth.
