Data Privacy

There are some kinds of personal information which I need to process in order to be effective as a therapist and provide the services my clients are looking for. This privacy policy is meant as a help in understanding what kinds of information I collect during the course of sessions, and for what purpose. If you have questions or if you want more information, I urge you to contact me on kontakt@aminiterapi.dk

Ethic and Confidentiality

Ethics and privacy protection are an important element in a private psychotherapeutic practice. It is a good idea that clients who are looking for services in here, take action based on informed ground and it is fundamental that clients feel confident about how their information is treated and protected at the clinic.

One of the most important rules for most clients that seek help is that with a psychotherapist you have full confidentiality. It means in other words, that private information that your therapist becomes aware of via the work, will remain private and never been disclosed to anyone without the consent of the client.

Sometimes I receive requests from people who are friends or family with someone who is in therapy because they care about the person and wants to know about their condition. I can not speak to others about my clients who are in therapy with me, I can not even tell if a person comes to sessions. I have full confidentiality and I deeply respect that.

Protection of personal data

I will never disclose your personal information to third parties unless you expressly agree to it, and I do not collect personal information without providing you with this information. I save personal information on a computer with limited access, updated operating systems and antivirus. Information on paper is kept  locked and is read only by me. When you start a course of sessions with me, I will inform you which data I process about you and for what purpose. The information is kept for the time allowed by law and they are deleted when they are no longer relevant or necessary. The period depends on the nature of the information and the background for storage. As a starting point, your information is stored for 3 years after client therapist relationship has ended.

I do not have an encrypted mail connection, so please do not disclose personal information when you contact me via email.

If you have questions regarding my treatment of your personal information or if you want access to the information that is registered with you at aminiterapi.dk, please contact me at kontakt@aminiterapi.dk. The same applies if you wish to change or delete registered personal information. You may also revoke your consent to processing information about you.

Upcoming Changes to data privacy
